British vocalist James Hudson has all of the charming qualities that epitomise the 21st century jazz singer. An assured and captivating performer, with an effortless voice that can communicate the nuances of a melody and lyric with great confidence and interpretive prowess.
James has an immense adoration for the timeless jazz standards of The Great American Songbook and prides himself in being one of the young jazz musicians carrying the mantle to ensure these songs continue to live on. This can be heard on his debut album 'TOMORROW' which received widespread critical acclaim; being named Jazz FM 'Album of the Week' and gaining exceptional reviews in BBC Music Magazine, London Jazz News, Jazzwise Magazine and many more - whilst also attracting international media coverage and air-time across national radio stations.
One of the most sought-after jazz singers in the U.K, James recently sold-out his first show at the world renowned jazz club Ronnie Scott's and regularly performs at venues such as Pizza Express Jazz Club, Piano Smithfield, The Crazy Coqs and has featured in the The EFG London Jazz Festival. This bold and daring project features a unique line-up composed of a 5-piece string section, horns, vibraphone and the talented rhythm section from his debut release. You can hear the first single from this album here, Feed The Birds is a re-imagining of the Disney/Sherman Brothers classic from Mary Poppins which brings a brand new perspective to this nostalgic song.
